Friday, October 13 :
1. TAILGATE PARTY
4:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Chet & Matt's 1013 E Strub Rd, Sandusky
Kick our Birthday Bash off at a local, sports themed pizza house. That "old time rock & roll" feeling will get a jump start as your taste buds revisit the flavors we've loved and the things we remember. Our class picture will be taken at 5 PM (weather permitting) in front of the original scoreboard from Strobel Field now located at Chet & Matt's.
2. GAME TIME
7:00 PM - 9:30 PM: Strobel Field at Cedar Point Stadium 75 Orlando Pace Drive, Sandusky
3. AFTER-HOURS MIXER
Turning 70 can be truly "Sensational" with a visit back to our alma mater on "Game Night". We've arranged for great seats blocked for the Class of 1965 in section "C". SHS Spirit is evident is the many upgrades to the stadium facility that give tribute to the "Sensational Sixties" we were a part of and plus great pride for our schools today.
9:30 PM - ???: Daly's Pub 104 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky
70 is the "new 50", so extending our night into downtown Sandusky seems like the right thing to do for the Class of 1965. So, take a ride downtown and "Buzz the Ave" for old time sakes and stop in at Daly's for a nightcap!
Saturday, October 14 :
4. COCKTAIL PARTY
Welcome Back for another great Class of '65 Event. Doors open at 5:45 PM for Sign-in. Appetizers and Cash Bar. You're in for another great night of fun. We're the Class that "stays young" because we "think young"! (But, LOL, we will have large print name tags for those not so young eyes :)
6:00 PM - 6:45 PM: Sandusky Yacht Club 529 East Water Street, Sandusky
5. DINNER
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Sandusky Yacht Club 529 East Water Street, Sandusky
Your Birthday Party Committe has planned for a reasonably priced dinner with four different options you may choose from when you send in your reservation - Chicken Marsala, Tilapia, Roast Beef, or Vegetarian. All entrees will include salad, vegetable, baked potato, rolls, tea, coffee...and, of course, BIRTHDAY CAKE!
6. CELEBRATION
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM: Sandusky Yacht Club 529 East Water Street, Sandusky
We'll be "celebrating" from the moment you walk through the doors. It will be another "Classic Class of '65" event. Music starts at 6 PM and continues throughout the night, so wear your dancing shoes! The committee has a variety of events planned to make our Birthday Party one to remember! Once again, we want to thank the generous support of classmates who donate to our Class Treasury making these event "extras" possible for all of us to enjoy! As is our Class Motto, "Nothing Great was ever achieved without Enthusiasm!" -
No, this isn't a "Senior Citizen" fall.... it's wild man, Hank (Henry Stonerook) doing some classic dance moves for the crowd! Class of '65 ROCKS!
